September 2011 marked the beginning of a new journey! A new journey in a new vehicle! Actually, in two new vehicles! We, fifteen people, teamed up to make one common dream a reality. It is a journey full of obstacles, successes, learning experiences and what not! Eight months back, we did not imagine standing on this position where we currently are. I have, undoubtedly, lived something great and I expect a lot more.
Nowadays, our experiences are simply incomplete without Facebook status updates. Hence, I would be giving one status update with all the important highlights.
The journey began with the determination to participate in the international event, that is, Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2012. Fifteen of us divided several tasks to make the existence of our fuel-efficient vehicles (referring to the new vehicles that I mentioned in the first paragraph) possible. From working 24/7 in the university’s workshop to visiting several mechanics, from collecting research to actually implementing it, from managing a website to writing articles, from collecting sponsors to actually convincing them, Team NUST-PNEC had a lot to do. Team NUST-PNEC, with its participation in two of the categories, still had to accomplish a lot and the journey will officially end on 07 July 2012, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Bolt and Ballista are the two creations of Team NUST-PNEC. The former, an urban-concept car, is all ready to be driven and the latter, a prototype vehicle, is half-completed.
Status Update: Bolt and Ballista… Seriously?! :p They sound like brother and sister!
I do not really want to brag about Team NUST-PNEC’s over efficiency but completing work before reaching the deadline is definitely commendable since we, PNECIANS, are used to demanding deadline extensions.

I am quite sure about getting NUSTIANs’ support for Team-PNEC and to be very honest, I am actually glad that we do not really have a lot of teams from NUST itself. This, at least, reduces the inside-competition. We are not just a team from PNEC. We are representing each and every one who belongs to the NUST World. NUSTIANS, wish us Good Luck!
