A little about MCS
MCS is a co-educational constituent college of National University of Science and Technology (NUST). MCS comprises of three main educational departments namely Department of Electrical Engineering (EE), Department of Information Security (IS) and Department of Computer Software Engineering (CSE). EE department is responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the field of Telecom Engineering, CSE department is responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the field of Computer Software Engineering, IS department is responsible for postgraduate studies in the field of Information Security.
Software Engineering Program at MCS
The software engineering program at MCS is quite diverse and learning oriented, thirteen courses have been passed out and have been readily dissolved in industry. MCS givesPakistanEngineering Council accredited BE Computer Software Engineering degrees to its students which can be quite helpful for getting jobs in government and public sector. Curriculum of studies
The curriculum is diverse, focuses on all the aspects of a complete software system which involves Software Requirements Engineering, Software Designing, Software Construction, Software Testing And Maintanance Hardware Design Basics, Communication, Marketing And Management.

asalam…my merit no iz 1710..nd em not selected even in 2nd merit list..(..i had a question from u that is thee any chance for me to be selected in civil eng… besacse civil eng (islamabd) and then civil eng (risalpur) is my top prioty…and further how many merit lists will be updated?? last year closing merit of civil eng (risalpur) was 1735 thats why i had hope for it…

You have high chances of getting selected in CIVIL in further selection lists, there may be 4 to 5 selection lists depending on students response.

civil eng (ISLAMBD) is my top preference and then risalpur..if i wl be selected in risal pur then is there a chane for me to be migrated in islamabd in a year or two if some of the studentz are expelled due to their poor performance in the semesterzzz…
Implicitly you can not be migrated after the first semester….if you want to change your descipline after 1st seester you would have to give a formal application to NUST and if there will be any vacancies they would consider it.
During the first semester youy can be implicitly migrated if there are vacancies available.
there is CS in NUST SEECS i have been selected, but my preference is SE. does SE have good job scope? i heard that only best of SE students get good jobs?
SE students have very good job prespectives…….Remember to excel in any field you have to be good…..if you are not good at your work then definitely nobody would care about you but if you are good at it then you dont have to worry….

Yar both are good…carruculum is almost similar…doesnt matter
