Central Clubs and societies have been reorganized, merged reducing the total to 13 from the former 17. Previously, there have been rumors of suspensions of all societies(which , thankfully ,were nothing more than rumors) followed by Rector’s call of presentations by all society representatives. 2 errors in the above post!

1)NIS is not the same as NISI,NISI stands for Nust Innovative Students Initiative and its not rector assigned society,

2)NIS and NEC has been merged to formed Nust Innovation and Entrepreneurship society.

    🙂

NISI was the NUST Innovation Society, with faculty sponsor and same setup and has been merged with NUST Entrepreneurs Society to make NUST Entrepreneurs Club. Its faculty advisor was Sir Imran, who was sponsoring innovation society.

Reference: NUST Web and Revised Policy on Clubs n Societies.

In other words, Innovation society has been omitted and Entrepreurship will cater its mandate as well.
