Signalianz Alumni Get-Together 2010

Signalianz™ is a vibrant alumni association of the graduates of Military College of Signals, which has been playing its role in coordinating the efforts for making MCS a center of excellence from the day of its inception.Signalianz get-together is a unique annual event which attracts the alumni members to attend and refresh their memories. Existing and some legendary faculty members are also invited. Moreover, there is open invitation to the existing students of MCS as well. The function includes addresses by the representative of Signalianz Services Committee, Commandant and CI (E), followed by a dinner.

The annual Signalianz Alumni dinner was held in MCS on the eve of April 24th,2010. This year is also extraordinary in the sense that it marks the 20th anniversary of telecom engineering course tcc-1. Students belonging to tcc-1 and onwards and software engineering course bese-1 and onwards were invited to attend the event. The alumni association and the existing MCS administration and students worked hand in hand to make this a event a successful one. The event comprised of dinner and a variety show. Commandant MCS Gen. Shahid Maqbool was the chief guest on the occasion. Signalianz alumni association’s president spoke on the occasion and presented the salient features of the organization. The chief guest also spoke on the occasion about the many achievements of MCS and appreciated the endeavors made by the alumni. Soon though the speeches were dispensed with and then time came for dinner. Dinner was a pleasant affair in which the guests intemingled and we juniors were also glad to meet the seniors who had left the college just before us. As last year students at MCS, this event holds a special place for us because this is one of the final events we will attend at MCS as students. After dinner, a lively and hilarious variety show was presented by the existing MCS students, including songs and skits. The students presented skits depicting the life at MCS and were much appreciated by the audience. The audience was lively and generous with the applause (and hooting). All in all, it was a well organized and much enjoyed function and for that Kudos to the MCS admin, teachers, students and alumni.
