EME Keeps Up Its Traditions with The Annual APDC

College of EME upholding its traditions held the annual All Pakistan Declamation Contest form 9th to 11th of April 2010. This annual event is organized with the basic aim to provide a platform to the Pakistani Youth to discuss and express its ideas and groom their personalities.

More than 25 teams from all over Pakistan participated in this championship. The event consisted Urdu, English and extempore debates. It kicked off on Friday with registrations, the second day had all the preliminary stages and the final day was the wonderful day of all. Shaista zaid, the famous newscaster form PTV and Lt Col Arif Ejaz, the Chief Editor of Hilal were the judges. Hilal, as we all know is the most widely read magazine of Pakistan Army. The chief guest was Commandant College of EME Maj Gen Muhammad Shahid. The whole event was covered by PTV and Nawai Waqt.

For the entertainment and recreation of the delegates a concert and a trip to Lake View Rawal Dam was arranged. College society SPAL put its best to make the event wonderful and memorable for the participants.

The overall Best prize was grabbed by the Punjab University team and the runner up was team from Fast NU Islamabad. Individually, Best Speakers (English) were Nouman Bajwa (SEECS NUST) and Sana Shakeel (FAST). Best Speaker (Urdu) was Usama Hassan Afzal and the Extempore Competition prize went to Faisal Ali (University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences).

We congratulate all the winners and the organizers for putting in their best efforts and hope they would keep their spirits high in future as well.
